[See Heather in her handcrafted Vampire Cavalier!] HEATHER JEFFCOTT

Heather and the Project

Heather is the Programming Support person for TerraForm3D. She has written a graphical guidence system in Visual C++ for a robot built by her team for her sophomore Engineering Design Class. She has also built a small web-based game in Java and designed GUI-based synchronization testing software while Interning for Raytheon Missile Systems. Currently, she is working on researching and writing file decryption algorithms for BMP and TIFF formats to supplement the Terrain Modeler part of the TerraForm3D Project. When that is complete, she will be assisting Craig on the 3D Engine.

Interests

Heather is interested in 3D graphics and robotics. This interest has lead to future employment at Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson after her graduation in May, 2000, putting her cleverly hidden warmongering tendencies to good use. This opportunity provides her with a good excuse to investigate the use of graphics as guidence systems for robotic machines.

When not studying, she designs and builds Historical, Halloween, and Fantasy Costumes. Her designs have often won awards at Science Fiction conventions. Currently, she contracts talents to Castle Blood's "Haunt Couture" line. Her designs may be viewed at Castle Blood. Just look for the blonde chick wearing the Vampire Cavalier!

Organizations

Heather is also the Treasurer for NAU's chapter of the ACM. That's the "Association for Computing Machinists." The ACM is interested in programming of all kinds. They also sponser several Special Interest Groups (SIGs) like SIGGRAPH. Click on the logo to get to ACM's Main Site.
