PROJECTS Microprocessor-controlled strain
gauge amplifier: Senior design capstone project sponsored
by Dataforth. Involves op-amp circuits, programmable gain amplifier (PGA) and
DAC, interfaced with a microcontroller through serial communication port.
Teamwork with other EE students involved.
Lunar Rover: Designed and implemented electrical systems of a lunar rover (robot).
Involved extensive use of relays, sensors and servo motors. Worked in a team of
EE, CSE and ME students.
Nuclear Waste Disposal Project: Designed a simulation model for the transportation system of the
project, using Simulink as the chief simulation tool. Studied and modeled
shunt, series and compound DC motors on Simulink. Worked on a team with other
EE students.
Audio amplifier: Designed and implemented hardware circuit for a 3-stage power amp with
class AB output. Used PSpice for schematic generation and testing. Involved
teamwork.
